Lanzarote is a paradise island that offers a lot of things to do for families with children. Whether your little ones are toddlers or teenagers, there are plenty of fun things to do in Lanzarote for kids of all ages.
One of the best things about Lanzarote is its pleasant spring weather, which is perfect for outdoor activities all year round.
When planning your family trip, keep in mind that some activities may not be suitable for babies and young children, while others may require a minimum age to participate. Additionally, some tours and activities may have different pricing policies for children, so be sure to check the details of each activity before booking.
One of the most popular activities for families in Lanzarote is a boat tour, especially one that includes dolphin watching or a ride in a submarine. Kids will also love water activities like parasailing, kayaking, and jet skiing, as long as they can do them with an adult. If you’re looking for a theme park experience, check out Rancho Texas or one of the water parks in Lanzarote.
No visit to Lanzarote is complete without a camel ride in Timanfaya National Park, where you can see the island’s iconic volcanoes up close. For a more adventurous experience, consider a buggy tour, although note that children must be at least 8 years old to participate in off-road tours.
When planning your activities, be sure to check the details regarding children’s prices, requirements, and limitations for each activity. You should also consider the duration of the activity, the schedule, and the location of the activity, including whether a pick-up service is available in your area.
Since Lanzarote is a small island, you can easily reach any activity no matter where you’re staying, whether it’s in Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen, or Costa Teguise.
With so many exciting things to do in Lanzarote for families, your children are sure to have a great time and make memories that will last a lifetime
You can do almost every excursion in Lanzarote with children, but our selection is based on the criteria often requested by parents:
Infants up to 2 years of age travel on the lap of one of the adults they’re traveling with. From the age of 3, they’ll occupy a seat as if they were adults. There are no extra seats for children on the buses.
We indicate the ages and prices for the children in the basic information section of every tour.
In almost all the excursions, babies up to 2 years old travel for free and children between the age of 3 and 11 pay the special children’s rate. Children over the age of 12 pay like adults.
Yes, you can choose longer routes from the Lanzarote list of excursions to visit other points of interest, such as Los Jameos del Agua, La Cueva de los Verdes or even Fuerteventura Island.
If it’s a foldable chair, it can usually be taken in the bus hold. However, check with us before booking to confirm if you can take the chair on the tour you want to do.
Once all the clients have been picked up, we’ll stop frequently, either to see or visit places of interest, to eat or simply to go to the bathroom.
Highly recommended. I went with my girlfriend because we wanted to do something romantic and we really liked it. Even though the catamaran is big and there are quite a few people, you can stay in one place or move around the boat. Seeing the dolphins was amazing, and the sunset was super relaxing.
Not suitable if you have vertigo. On the one hand it was relaxing but I didn’t have a very good time because of my vertigo.
A great experience. The children were delighted and we had the best day of our holidays in Lanzarote.
A fantastic tour through the volcano park. From the moment they picked us up at our hotel in Playa Blanca until they brought us back, we had a great experience. The guide made many stops to give us explanations related to the volcanoes and the route was a
Beautiful excursion to do with the family. We had unforgettable experiences during the excursion like riding camels or seeing how Timanfaya National Park originated from the volcanic activity in the mountains of fire. We loved the experience.
Adventure and fun. We had never driven a buggy but you learn to control it in less than 1 minute. Curves, ups and downs, dirt and stone roads, so many curves, loads of fun.
Great tour. I loved Timanfaya, but Jameos and the Green Cave are on the same level.
Great excursion and great guide. It’s the best way to comfortably discover some of the great secrets of Lanzarote. The places that we visited were incredible and the facts and information from the guide allowed us to value all of the sites that we visited and to put them into historical context.
Too many people. Even though the ship is big, I thought we were too many people and not everyone seemed comfortable.
The best of our trip to Lanzarote. The price was very good for the day we had. I highly recommend it.
