Shore Tours in Lanzarote

Lanzarote Shore Excursions

If you’re arriving on a cruise in Lanzarote, you shouldn’t miss the chance to explore our island in one of our volcano tours. Lanzarote offers stunning natural landscapes, from black sand beaches to rugged cliffs and volcanic formations that will take your breath away. Its rich cultural heritage is also worth exploring, with the works of local artist Cesar Manrique transforming the island into a stunning work of art. You can also indulge in delicious local cuisine, immerse yourself in the bustling markets, and explore charming villages.

Here are 4 reasons why it is worth it to book a tour with OkLanzarote instead of with your cruise line:

Cost: We offer tours at a lower cost than the cruise lines, as we do not have the same overhead costs associated with running a large cruise ship.

Authenticity: We provide a more authentic and immersive experience, as we have a deep understanding and appreciation for the culture and history of Lanzarote.

Expert Knowledge: Our official tour guides are local experts and can offer a deeper level of knowledge and understanding of the destination, culture, history, and traditions of the island.

Local Recommendations: We can offer insider recommendations for local restaurants, shops, and attractions that are not included in the cruise line’s standard offerings.

In order to enjoy a nice experience with our tours make sure the tour schedules matches the cruise schedule in Lanzarote so that you are back to the ship on time avoiding the risk of missing the ship’s departure. OkLanzarote nor any of its partners is responsible for any incident in the tour or any other reasons for you to be late to the ship´s departure.

FAQs about tours for cruise passengers in Lanzarote

Why are these the best excursions for cruise passengers?

Cruise excursions in Lanzarote are limited by the time they spend on the island. We propose the two shortest excursions, so you can be sure to be back on the ship on time. On the southern route, you’ll be back in Arrecife by around 5:50 PM and with the excursion that only goes to Timanfaya National Park with the optional camel ride you’ll be back around 2:00 PM.

For the private excursions, we can adapt the schedules even more, but these are interesting to hire for groups of more than 30 people.

Where will I be picked up?

There are two docks in Lanzarote where cruise ships usually dock when they arrive at Arrecife:

  • Los Mármoles port, where 90% of cruise ships dock.
  • La Boca de Naos port.

When making your reservation, you’ll have to pick one of these two options. In the case of Los Mármoles port, you can walk to the pick-up point that we’ll indicate on the reservation voucher. If your cruise ship docks in Boca de Naos, you’ll have to take a taxi to the place that we’ll indicate when you book. In both cases, pick-up will be around 9:10.

What do you see on the cruise excursions?

Lanzarote’s main attraction, the visit to the Timanfaya National Park, is guaranteed on the cruise excursions. In addition, by booking these tours you’ll avoid the long queues to access the park, which can last for up to 3 hours in the high season.

If you have more time, you can take longer excursions and see other places of interest such as Charco de Los Clicos, La Geria, Las Salinas or Los Hervideros.

How do I know which port my ship will dock in?

Some of the main cruise companies that usually come to Lanzarote such as Aida Cruises, Croisi Europe, Phoenix Reisen Gmbh, TUI Cruise, Marella Cruises Ltd., Mystic Cruises S.A, Fred. Olsen Cruise, Costa Crociere, Oceania Cruises Inc, MSC Cruises or Royal Caribbean Group include information in their tickets on the ports of call, which is what you’ll need to be able to book the excursion.

Should I book with OkLanzarote or book an excursion on the ship or cruise company?

Compare prices and routes and decide which excursion to do and where it’ll be best to book.
