Enjoy a try dive in Lanzarote. Experience your first sea dive safely, in small groups, accompanied by an expert instructor who will guide you to a depth of up to 6 meters.
To determine if you’re physically suitable for the baptism, you need to read the requirements that you should consider before booking the baptism carefully, which we indicate in the frequently asked questions section.
The baptism will take place along the volcanic reef of Playa Chica in Puerto del Carmen, a beautiful place with many fish that is a safe location to begin your diving practice.
Before getting into the water, the instructor will provide you with a brief theoretical training to learn some underwater communication signals and give you instructions for a safe immersion.
Once we have put on our diving equipment, we will dive with the instructor into the sea in small groups of up to 4 people to enjoy this exciting underwater experience that will take us to a depth of up to 6 meters.
The dive lasts approximately 35 minutes and is done slowly and gradually. Enjoy the beauty of the underwater world and feel like one of the numerous groupers, salmons, green wrasses, salema fish, or any other type of fish that we’ll see around us.
Upon completing the baptism and returning to your accommodation, you’ll likely leave with a great sense of satisfaction due to the experience had during the dive and the beauty of the underwater world, which may lead you to consider taking a diving course to advance your diving skills.

What is required for the baptism?
- Being over 10 years of age.
- Don’t fly in an airplane within the following 24 hours after the dive.
- Meet the necessary physical and health conditions to scuba dive safely. Pulmonary, cardiovascular, nasal, back, or stomach problems, or recent surgeries may prevent you from participating in the baptism. Therefore, to ensure that you are eligible for the baptism, we recommend that you check the questionnaire on these two pages before booking this activity.
Where is the dive done?
We usually dive in Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen.
Can I enroll in a diving course after the dive?
Yes, contact us after completing the baptism, and we’ll advise you on enrolling in the basic scuba diving course.
